I have some younger friends that are pregnant now. They aren't going to use a bassinet, they are going to go right to the crib. I used a bassinet for at least a month I think. Did you use one or not?

We didn't use one, but we did have one ready. My daughter was perfectly happy to be in her crib so we just put her in there from the start. I think it's good to have a bassinet available just in case. When it comes to babies, you should always be prepared since you never know what you're going to encounter.

I tried but my daughter hated it. She was also rolling over by around two weeks old so it became unsafe and I just gave up. I gave it away to someone who loved it, and used it way past safe by taking it off its stand.

Never used a bassinet for any of my kids. We've always used a crib. For whatever reason, my wife and I never considered getting a bassinet for our little ones and always preferred the crib.

I liked having my daughter right next to my bed at first. I think that is why I went with the bassinet over the crib. The crib was in her own room. I never put her in bed with me so the bassinet was the closest thing.

I did with both of mine, but it was the type that attaches into either a crib or play yard and it was simple to collapse when needed (which was great). I still need to find a new home for the last one (and its almost four years old).

I had one that I kept by the bed. My son had reflux and would choke when laying down at night, so he had to sleep in his car seat for the first month. I did place the car seat in the bassinet though!

I used a bassinet with both of my babies and we kept it right next to our bed. I was one of those crazy moms that couldn't sleep without hearing them make noise or hearing their breath. I miss those days but I'm glad they are growing up and becoming their own person.

My first child didn't have a bassinet. I think we couldn't afford one. I had barriers in his crib that made it smaller so it didn't seem such a big space for him. My other 2 slept in a bassinet until they got to the point that they moved around.

No, we didn't use a bassinet for any of our boys. I was lucky that they were pretty good sleepers even coming home right from the hospital. If I had to do two hour feedings I might have gotten a bassinet to keep near the bed.

When our daughter was a newborn, I could not stand the thought of her sleeping in a different room. Therefore, we let her sleep in her bassinet until she was 4 months old. She has always been a good sleeper and this just worked best for us.

My partner's first child (boy) went straight into the crib, but his second child (girl) went in a bassinet. I don't know if this is a coincidence or not but he is a lot more independent and she has a really hard time leaving her mum to go anywhere.
