How careful were you during your first trimester? I have to admit I was overly careful. I didn't want to cause any damage to my baby or increase the risk of losing my child. I was probably too overly careful.

I really didn't change much. Of course I had already stopped caffeine and a lot of sugar when I was trying to get pregnant. I don't smoke or drink so those were the last things that I had to eliminate out of my habits. I really think that if it's going to happen, it's going to happen. I guess I'm a fatalist.

I guess I meant like with physical activity, you know stopping working out or less walking. I didn't smoke or drink either, but I did drink Coke and I didn't stop that throughout my pregnancy.

I remember being a tad more careful with the first, I think many can relate on that. I cut down on the caffeine (which I should still do even not being pregnant now) and all else, but never to the point where I hide in my house all the time and never ventured out.

I reduced caffeine to one can drink a day, quit smoking, and I did quit working at 22 weeks because I had a job where I was on my feet all day long.

I didn't work out in the first place! Honestly though, if I was very physically active, I would have slowed down some at first. It probably won't make a difference but there is no sense in taking chances.

I don't think pregnancy slowed me down at all until the end. I was very careful though about what I exposed my body to, like cutting out caffeine.

I had no choice but to be extra careful in the early weeks. I was put on bedrest with two of my pregnancies because of bleeding. I would not have been so careful though if it hadn't been for the complications.

I don't think it makes much difference what you do. My OB said that I could still work out until the last months. He said during the last month I should cut down to just walking instead of running too. I don't mind though if it brings this little one to me.

I didn't stop working out until I was too big to do it and the doctor told me to stop. Walking is probably one of the best exercises for you to do when you are pregnant. You don't want your muscles to go slack, you will need them during labor.

For my first I too was on bedrest-for about six weeks in fact, of my first trimester. It was awful, a really boring time.
This pregnancy has been easier, and I was cautious but certainly didn't stop living.

After a miscarriage, I was advised to take complete rest during the first trimester. Then a threatened abortion on second trimester made it a full term rest.

I started changing my diet way before I became pregnant just for my health. I no longer have anything that isn't organic, I eat only whole grains and fresh fruits and veggies, and I cut out all red meat and pork. The only thing that I miss is fish, I don't want to take the chance of it having mercury.
