I always am amazed when I see parents let their kids get away with not eating the foods that are important to them. Most never realize that kids love all types of foods, but the trick is to getting them to like the foods when they are still young. Smiley

Grin  Boy are you right.  My daughter is not picky at all, and it's because I had her eating all kinds of things as a baby and toddler.  I also think that it's important that you also eat all the things you want your kids to eat.  Lead by example!

You've said a mouthful there.  My sister in law has so many things she doesn't like and she has taught her children the same dislikes.  Now they exist on pizza, burgers and mac and cheese.  She will regret it one day. My brother comes home to Mom's occasionally to get a decent meal but he wouldn't tell my SIL that.

I am not a short order cook. When I fix something for dinner my kids are all served the same thing. If you don't eat it then you don't get anything for dessert or anything until the next morning. My kids are expected to eat their veggies!

I hate when parents try to force their children to eat certain foods or all of their food. They are only teaching children to ignore their bodies cues on when to eat and not to eat.
